The Ready Player One movie did really well for a movie that was not meant to become a movie. As weird as that sounds. Originally Ernest Cline, the author of the book, did not want the book to become a movie. He wrote Ready Player One after spending years in the movie industry and wanted to write something that simply could not be turned into a movie. On the down side, his writing was so good that Hollywood decided to turn Ready Player One into a movie.
Twist of fate. Turns out, when you are so good at doing something, you get paid for it even if you don’t want to get paid. In Ernest Cline’s case he ended up working on the movie he thought would never be. With all the copyright stuff that the movie would have to go through somethings just did not make it to the big screen. People had mixed feelings about it.
Some people that read the book, myself included, love it and hated it. Some people loved the movie despite its flaws. I liked it more than I hated it I mean Spielberg was directing the movie after all.
