Disney decided to shut down Blue Sky Studios. Part of their over taking of 21th Century Fox, Disney now owns Blue Sky studio which is the company behind the famous Ice Age 3D Animated movie.
Disney said that they plan to make an Ice Age series for Disney +, thus profiting more from Ice Age. The sad part about DIsney owning Blue Sky is that they decided to cancel their newest project, Nimona. If Disney really wanted to profit from Blue Sky, then they would have allow them to continue on with the project. However it seems that they rather put their own projects upfront rather than Blue Sky’s 3D animations.
Now that they own the company, Disney could drive Blue Sky down like they did with Star Wars. Blue Sky was a company that was doing really well for themselves. Now, could change for the worst.
