Stranger Things just keeps getting better. If you watched season 3 and finished it then you know we are in for a punch for season 4. With every season Stranger Things show us more and more of the world of the upside down. Not only did we enjoy a return to the 1980’s and the opening of the Hawkin’s mall but also some new friendships were form and we found out that Dustin got himself a cute girlfriend.
We saw the return of Robin Hood Men in Tights with Matthew Modine as the Major of Hawkins. Oh yeah, even though Steve is no longer with Nancy he got a new love interest. Working at the mall we got a new addition to the team. A cute freckled blonde named Robin who joins in on the sleuthing. Eleven and Mike experience their first young love breakup like all young love was meant to be. I am just loving this show.
I can see why the 1980’s were such a great time even though they had no internet and no cellphones. They did a great job at show us what was happening in the 1980’s with Back to The Future playing in theaters. We saw Ralph Macchio (The Karate Kid) on the cover of a magazine. That is how it was back in the 80’s (Makes me want to jump back in time).
Honestly, I think we can all agree, if this show did not take place back in the 1980’s without the internet and cellphones then it probably would not have gone the same way. I mean Dustin using walky talkies the whole time really made me think of the progress technology has made.
Now lets talk about what we should be expecting from Season 4 of Stranger Things.
- Eleven’s powers
- Will’s Infection
- Hopper
- Demogorgon
Eleven’s powers
This made me sad. Since the first season of Stranger Things, we have seen Eleven’s bad ass telekinetic powers. However, towards the end of the season, our girl got infected with a piece of the monster inside of her leg infecting her. Using her powers she pulled out the biomass of the monster that was infecting her and thus that caused her to lose her powers. Even three months later after the defeat of the monster she still could not use her powers. It was just a really sad moment and I really felt for Eleven.
We are not sure why she lost her powers but as a fan I can tell that the Mind Flayer disabled her powers with its spawn that was stuck in Eleven’s leg. That could be the only reason. Think about it. After she pulled out that blog of biomass she could not use her powers. The Mind Flayer took her powers away. I believe it was part of its plan and rest assure that it will return most likely by using the demogorgons. Either way, Eleven will get her powers again most likely when she faces the Mind Flayer
Will’s Infection
In the first season we know that Will was possessed by the Mind Flayer and after he was rescued and recovered he could still see the upside down and have visions. Will could see the monster shadow.
He can feel the monster from the upside down getting closer. We witness this when the kids were at the mall at night running away. It could be said that he is infected by the Mind Flayer and in season 4 it could use him again.
We might also see him mature in the next season since as a kid Will does not seem ready to grow up like the other characters. While the others are dating and getting experience with girls, Will just wants to play Dungeons and Dragons. He does not want to grow up, at least not yet.
Hopper
Stranger Things
Our hero. By the end we saw Hopper sacrifice himself…or did he. We saw many other bodies vaporized by the electric shock of the machine. Hopper seemed trapped by the electric barrier of the machine in that little deck where he fought the big Russian guy. After the explosion we are sure that he is dead. However at the end when it forwards to some Russian headquarters, we see a Russian general walking by prison cells and tells one of his soldiers, “Not the American.” We all assume that it is none other than Hopper in prison.
Although we did not see him get captured, there was a huge hint that made us believe that it is him. We shall find out in Season 4.
Demogorgon
I have a feeling that they will be back or at least the Russians will bring them back. From what we seen at the very end of Season 3, the Russians had captured a demogorgon and fed it a human. Back in the 1980’s the Russians were always the bad guys. So it seems they will be using the gorgons to their advantage and of course the Mind Flayer will probably possess a Russian or a character that we already know of. Either way the Russians are going to find out a way to use the demogorgons. Maybe this will be one of the ways that Eleven will regain her powers. We will find out in Season 4.
What do you think?
